What are Leads?

A Lead is a traveler who has shown interest in one of your listings. The Leads page in each Stay Dashboard shows you those travelers, most interested first, and lets you reach out with a private invite.

How a traveler becomes a Lead

When a signed-in traveler interacts with your listing, Stays records the interest and scores it. Actions that create or strengthen a Lead include:

• Viewing your Listing Page (and coming back to it)
• Favoriting your Stay
• Clicking one of your booking, host, or social links
• Entering one of your Giveaways on stays.co
• Searching the region your Stay is in

Each Lead gets an interest score from 0 to 100 that decays over time, so the list always reflects who is interested right now. Leads with no recent activity fall off the list on their own.

You see a first name and what they did, never who they are. When someone answers your invite with "I'm interested," they get your redemption instructions and come to you.

Privacy: what you can and cannot see

• Leads are anonymous. You see what a traveler did (viewed, favorited, searched your area), how interested they are, and when they were last active. To tell leads apart you see a first name only (or a stand-in when we do not have one). Never a last name, an email, or any way to contact them directly. The invite is the only channel.
• "I'm interested" does not reveal contact details either. When a traveler responds to your invite with I'm interested, you are notified and the invite moves to Interested. The traveler is shown your redemption instructions and offer link at that moment, so they reach you through the channel you set (your booking site, a promo code, "mention this invite when you book"). Their email is never shown to you.
• Travelers control this. Travelers can turn host invites off entirely in their settings. If they do, they never appear as a Lead and no host can reach them. Stays does not tell you when this happens.

Which Stays have Leads

• Leads accrue for accepted Stays. Applications in progress and Limited listings do not receive Leads.
• Your listing must be published before you can send invites. Unpublished listings show their Leads but the Send invite button is disabled.
• On the free plan you see your single best Lead and can send one invite per Stay per month. Host Premium shows every Lead and raises the invite allowance to 10 per Stay per month. Details in Invite allowances & Host Premium.

Where Leads show up

• Leads page (Stay → Leads in the side menu): the full workspace.
• Stay Overview: an Interested travelers card with the hot, warm, and cool counts and a link to Leads.
• Properties page: each property card shows "12 interested · 3 hot" so you can see demand across your portfolio at a glance.
• Analytics: an interested-travelers tile alongside views and clicks.
• Email: a weekly leads summary per Organization, plus optional instant alerts when a traveler replies to an invite, opens one, or keeps coming back to a listing. Manage these in Account → Email settings.
